| | It was the barefoot run and the first time back into running. I was surprised how easily I got back into it. |
| | Again I felt good. Nothing apeared wrong. We ran to Turtle Creek and back. |
| | I ran on my own around my hometown. It's harder to run on my own but I did it with no complications. |
| | Today was the run in the dirt. I felt more tired today. I am hoping it is the fact I am not used to running up hill/I didn't get to bed as early as I should have the night before. I felt good after though. |
| | It was my first 4 mile run since I got back. I felt fine through the whole run but got sucked into a "freshman race" so I seemed to be pushing myself hard... Maybe too hard... Well I guess I won't know until tomorrow. I won by the way... | |
| | Today was the dirt mile run. I felt like we were going faster than our "normal" pace but I wasn't exactly sure if we were supposed to be going faster. I hit a couple divits in the dirt which slowed me down a bit but I felt like I was doing pretty well. Again I felt more tired than usuall but I am not as in shape I as I used to be so hopefully soon I get out of this "get tired on random days" funk. | |
| | Today we did the dirt trail again. At first I was really tired but I woke up at the turn around and felt great! Mr. Plumb cut me off todat and that's when I changed... I got... angry... | |
| | Today we did a run by Maverik 'n stuff. I felt normal 'n stuff. I am bumbed that coach won't let me count the miles I walked during the Trek 'n stuff. It was a lot of miles 'n stuff. |
| |
We did the dirt mile run. I felt good and bad at the same time. I felt bad because there were some reasons I wanted to stop and I felt good because I didn't let those reasons stop me. I fell a little behind on the way back but I think it was because I stopped after the three laps and I lost a lot of momentum and the thought of being almost done kept going through my head. What I need to start doing is keep pushing myself all the way to the end because I know I can do it but it is just so easy not to.
| | Today we did the 3 mile barefoot run. I'm saying 4 because of running to the grass and back and doing the two laps with the kids. I always feel better running in the grass. It just comes to me better than the other runs I guess. | |
| | Sorry I didn't make it to the team practice today coach. There were some misunderstandings with directions. So, I got lost and by the time I realized I was it was like ten after seven. So I went back home and did a five mile run on my own. I felt completly great! It felt like the best five miles I have ever ran in a while. It was awesome! On my run I also had a vision. Instead of cowbells this year we have stop signs with the "un" and "pable" on it (like the spraypaint idea) and have our cheering fans be holding them. We could get them at the Fastsigns store that is right by Pine View! What do you think? I also made a shirt idea. I will send it to your email. Tell me what you think. So sorry I couldn't make it to practice but I did run and I streched. | |
| | I did a 4 mile run around my neighborhood. I didn't feel as good as yesterday. The ball of my right foot kind of hurt today. It didn't cause me to walk or stop but it was still there. Every time I took a step a shock started there and went around the top of my foot. But like I said before it wasn't bad enough to stop me from running. |
| | I felt good at the beginning... then we hit the hill... I have to admit it was a difficult hill. After the hill I started feeling better and my energy started coming back. Once we got to the school I got a stomach cramp. I think it was just from the hill. But over all I think today was a good run. I feel better now that I am now running with the 'faster' group. It helps me get to where I couldn't get before. It's fantastic! | |
| | We did the dirt mile run today. I really don't like those divits. If you even take one step off of the trail you are done for. I'm lucky nothing bad has happend to my ankle yet. This always seems to be the work out I get most tired on. | |
| | Today was a good 4 mile run. Jared and I really pushed ourselves on the way back. I felt very good. The striders went well too. I don't know what it is but Jared and my toes were both hurting. Jared is a really good person for me to run with because I believe that we both are at the same level and we both to be on and see eachother on Varsity so we both push eachother. It really helps. | |
| | Today we did the barefoot run. Again I just feel awesome when doing it. We also did the kids camp thing, and oh my goodness, they are a crazy bunch. | |
| | Today we ran at Pine View Park. I got lost on the way there but luckily a rescue dog found me and took me where I needed to be. It felt strange running around my neighborhood and not having my house be the final destination. Well it was a good run and I felt great! | |
| | Today we did the 4 mile run by Maverick and again I ran with Jared. It was a nice run and I felt good. Good way to start the week. | |
| | It was a good run over all but before practice I felt sick. Like, sick enough that I was thinking of not going to practice today. I started feeling better when we started running. I feel really good that I was running with Tyson. He was keeping me at a pace that I should be at. Going back up the hill (the big one by the fire station and the radio place) I started feeling sick again but not as bad as this morning. After I streched I stared feeling good again. It was strange. But I feel like today was a very successful run and I did well and I am glad I came. | |
| | I can't lie. Today wasn't the best run I have done in the past. I could tell I was dehydrated at the beginning and the fact I didn't act upon it was the worst mistake I have ever done. Well maybe not the worst mistake but it is pretty high up in the list of mistakes. What also seemed weird is a lot of people weren't feeling good today. I wonder what is going on... I'm just glad I didn't "grown up" barf. | |
| | Today I ran only 3 because I ran with my dad and he knew a 3 mile run. I am glad my dad runs every now and then because I don't think I would have been able to run on a vacation. My breathing was all out of whack because my nose was stuffed and I was trying to clear it. But I have to say running 3 miles with a stuffed nose is a lot easier than running 5 while feeling sick. Overall I am just happy I got around to running on vacation. | |
| | Today I ran on my own around the neighborhood. Near the end my heart started feeling weird, then my breathing started getting all wacky-do. I think the breathing came from me thinking about the pain in my heart and not letting me breath naturally. But I have no idea why my heart was hurting. Well now that I have my breathing more under controll I am beginning to feel better. Well, happy 4th to ya coach! And who ever else reads my blog... |
| | Today was a good run. We did the barbed wire dirt run... or what ever... I felt better than ever. Well besides I had to go to the bathroom but that is a different story. But I have something important to say. COACH! Is it possible for me to get a copy of my physical papers? I need them for my high adventure trip with the priests in my ward. If I can get a copy and get it perferably tomorrow that would be fantastic! Sorry, I forgot to ask you at practice... | |
| | Today was a 6 mile run around town. At first I was little worried, it being my first 6 mile run in a long time, but I really felt better than I have in a lot of the runs we did this Summer. I can tell that I am getting back into shape. I also love the group that we run with and I am glad half of them are coming with me to Student Council Camp. It's going to be a blast! Plus, I found the text editer and I am having too much fun with it... | |
| | Did a grass loop up at SUU. It was BORING! Did the ABC game twice! |
| |
Before I complian about that run I will look at the positives and say, I did it and I never stopped on my own (I stopped when the team stopped). The hill on the way back was killer. I got very light-headed. I'm just glad that I didn't stop on my own.
And just to let you know I suffered from a serious Migraine after. Like no joke. I got the whole package, headache 'n all. I don't know if it was from dehydration, a hard work out, or reading my "creative" post, but it happened. I wanted to know if you think I will be okay to run tomorrow. I felt sort of better after I barfed and took a long nap, so I am getting better, you might say. What do you think?
| | Let me just start off by saying it is good to be back. I felt really good today. I was in the leading pack of the level two guys and it made me feel good. Running up the hill I felt was the most successful part of my run. I kept up and kept going after reaching the top. That is a habbit I need to start because I feel it will be the thing that could get me ahead in races like at Snow Canyon. |
| | Like I already said, hills are my downfall. If I can get over the hills (not by age), I will be one happy camper. Today was also my first day of two day practice. Man, it was HOT! I enjoyed it though. Nice, simple, and hey, it's getting me better. Today was also my first day of weight lifting. I am so buff right now. Went swimming after. The water was cold and it felt nice.Hey check out what I learned to do!I can go this way as well! And this is both of them together! |
| | I really have no clue on what the distance was... Well today was my first hill work out for the summer. I took the advice given to me and took quicker steps. It actually felt good. The hill didn't seem as difficult. I hope I can keep on improving on hills because I feel like that is the thing keeping me where I am. I want to improve. |
| | Today was the simple grass run. Nothing much more to say about it besides, it happend. | |
| | That was one of the hardest work outs I have done. I thought I did it pretty well though. I felt very acomplished after running it. Running up meat grinder hill was the hardest part. I actually liked fireside hill. It enterained me with all of those rocks 'n biz. It is a very good indurence run. I also did the 3 mile afternoon run. Those are always fun. Well I am doing this blog up date at 11 PM and I am very tired... Well a cockroach just tickled my toe. It woke me up a little... But I will pretend I didn't see it so I don't have to clean it up. Shhh... Our little secret... ;) | |
| | Today I ended up doing a 4 mile run so I did 2 warm up laps back at the school. We went at a very fast pace today. I don't know what got into the others that made them want to go faster. Oh well, it's better for us I suppose. We did striders today. They felt simple and quick. Well, can't wait for XC Camp! Never been, so I don't know what to expect! |
| |
I decided to put all of my runs during the camp into one entry. I loved the camp. It was a very fun experience. The first day was just an easy 3 miles. I could tell almost right away that the oxygen was different and it would have to be something I would have to get used to for awhile.
The second day was our long run. We did a 8 mile run. I became very light-headed. That and the rain was a combonation that made me fall behind from the "faster" group but I was still ahead of the other group on the way up. I never stopped on my own, which, I feel, is a very good thing for me. There were a lot of hills on this run which also helps me with my hill problems. On the way back I stayed with the "faster" group and finished it strong! We did a easy 3 mile run that afternoon.
The third day we did a 5 mile hill run. Again I got light-headed and had the same situation with placing as I did the day before. I also had the same situation as the day before on the way back. I hope soon that hills will no longer be a problem for me. We did another 3 mile run in the afternoon.
Today we did a easy 5 mile run. I stayed up with the "faster" group and stayed with them. I got a little light-headed close to the end but I stayed strong and finished hard.
I hope the reason I kept on getting light-headed was because of the oxygen change and not that I am becoming a wimp or getting sick. I will keep on working hard and I will give all that I got to get where I need to be to help the team the most.
I loved doing this trip and I am glad I got to do it atleast once.
| |
At first I hated this run. I was sweaty, it was blazing hot, and it just seemed like forever! Then I ran past Stoner. Then I was like, "hmm, maybe this run isn't too bad, but I am still hot and sweaty!" Then I ran by Stoner again! Then I really started loving this run! It was fantastic!
Well most of that story is true. The run wasn't as bad as I said. It was better because I started out liking the run. Then when I passed Stoner twice! It was even more amazing then I thought a run could be!
I also framed the XC Collage thing that we made in camp and put it up in my room. It replaced my framed basketball picture. I am happy to finally put basketball in the past and XC in my future! I will now see it everyday and remember what I want to reach and what I can perform if I work hard enough.
| | Sadly I didn't see Stoner on my run today, but it still was a good run. I am glad we had a easier run this week. I feel like this week was very helpful for endurance, speed, and mentality. | |
| | Wow... It felt pretty long, but short at the same time... It makes sense in my head. I felt pretty cool being one of the 'special' level 2s that got to run 10. Jared told me it doesn't really mean much but I say STS (So Totally does Son)! It was sweet! |
| |
My legs were hurtin' today! I could tell I ran 10 yesterday! It was nice to kick back a little today.
It doesn't seem like we are getting a lot of guys out to afternoon practice. The only reason I wouldn't think they would want to show up is because of the heat but that is a thing they will have to get used to.
We went swimming after and it felt so good! |
| | Today was a hill work out. I really feel like I am improving on hills and it is getting me way excited! I still have a hard-ish time going out of Hell's Hole. That hill is a killer! | |
| | Today was the barefoot grass run. It was nice, simple, and... some other third thing... I was surprised when we did striders too but they were also simple. I don't know if I am happy or not about being done with the kid's camp stuff. It was fun while it lasted but it could get a little crazy! |
| |
Today's run was just amazing! It was a hill fart-lick run (ew). On the way to the beginning of it I was thinking "aw man, hills, and I am required to go fast for a long time?! Pbbt! (<- farting noise. I think someone licked it when I thought it too...) But when we started getting into it I felt great! And on the way back after Coach's insperational speach of "it will end" I pushed harder and felt even more amazing! It might have been my inner 800 runner calling me but I felt comfortable doing this and I am proud of what I did.
Now the afternoon run didn't feel so amazing. I will think twice before eating a big plate of spaghetti an hour before I run. |
| | I really don't think the distance bothers me anymore! It was a nice run but my upper thigh was hurting the whole run. And when we started the tempo miles my whole right leg hurt. Well it seemed like each part got a flash of pain. My toes and my knee both got the flash of pain. My thigh continued to hurt. So I iced my upper thigh after the run, then it looked like I peed my pants (I really did pee my pants but I used ice as my excuse tehe :) shhhh) | |
| |
There wasn't anything too amazing to blog about on this run. I'm glad I got my afternoon run in with all my student council stuff. |
| | Well I feel stupid that I wasn't able to race. You can ask my parents, I complained about not going. I will try my hardest to not miss any other races. |
| |
Today was the 2450 park barefoot run. I think Josh and I confused a lot of old people because we ran together and said morning to these old people sitting at a bench every time we passed them. I think it was pretty clear that I was one of the people who didn't race because I lapped everyone besides Zack and Josh atleast once.
I never thought I would get into that kind of detail with my milage (8.625) but I did one more strider with Manue and I wanted it to show :) |
| |
Today was the fire station hills. They were pretty intense and I feel I am really doing well with hills now. I got third mostly every time (Colton and I tied on his last one (he is one fast dude)). I feel really awesome being one of the "higher" level 2s.
Wow, it's crazy how close varsity is in my reach. I don't know if I am worried or excited. Varsity is something that I really do want, but it came up fast! I really hope I can show my best on the time trial and not let any nervousness or negativity get to my head. This is INTENSE! |
| | I did the run for Megan Birk. It was very fun. I took second place! The guy that beat me was some marathon runner dude. Devin, Wes, and I finished our milage after. It was nice to get up early and do the run because I feel better and I have more of the day to waste! I mean... to do service? Yeah, let's go with that... |
| | WOW! Can, I just start off saying that run was poop! Well, it was my fault at some points. I really need to learn to drink more water! Drinking water is a big thing I need to work on. I was feeling light headed, my mouth was dry, and I was even getting chills. I am glad we stopped at the river because I think I could have suffered something serious! The river was my savior! It felt so fantastic! I think if I just start drinking more water, I will be okay and I will start doing better on my runs. I also decided that I will be showing up to more morning runs than required of me. I think that will be better for me to do because I really do need to step it up and if student council ever gets in the way (which I don't think should happen often) I will have some mileage for that day. So I think on Tuesdays and Thursdays I will show up every now and then. |

Pine View Time Trial (2 Miles) 00:11:32, Place overall: 4, Place in age division: 100000 | | Today's run was AMAZING! So much better than yesterday's run! I felt so good! I was hoping I could get closer to Casey though. I am not blaming this for what was the ending result but, my shoe laces were bothering me like no otha'! Then my shoe started getting loose and started to slide which hurt a lot after from the intesne burning! It was most definatly heat from cuss fire. But over all I was proud of what I did and proud to say I am on VARSITY! I swear (but I am getting better), the greatest words I ever heard come out of Coach's mouth were, "You need to get the varsity shorts"! I was all like, word to yo motha'! I can't wait for state! WOOT WOOT! I just hope I don't get injured!
| | Today was a nice and simple run. I'm getting better with hydrating, which I am happy about. My foot didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. I just hope by the time of the race it won't hurt at all. |
| | We did 4 1000's today. They were pretty intense. The first one I did was a 3:05, the second one was a 3:03, the third one was really bad, it was 3:15, the fourth one was my best with a 3:02. I did an extra .5 during my cool down with the people not racing this weekend. |
| | Today was just a simple 5 mile run to get ready for tomorrow's race. Colton really likes to speed up on simple runs. That kid is crazy quick. It is going to be fun to race with him tomorrow. I hope I remember how to race. I remember this course being easier so I think it is a good one for me to start on this season. We did striders after on the baseball feild. |
| Race: |
Hurricane (3 Miles) 00:17:39, Place overall: 1 | | "And your JV Champion with a time of 17:39 from Pine View, TIM LUNT"! That sounded so amazing! I realized I could have pushed myself harder when I finished but I am happy with the outcome. I am really proud where I am on the team. Sure my time was around the same time I got at the end of last year but I will improve and I will break 17 (new goal)! I am really excited for this year! Our team is looking so amazing!
| |
Today I was really shocked with how many boys didn't show up to morning practice. A lot of the people that didn't show up are the people that keep telling me that they want to improve. I remember when I was like that; wanting to improve but didn't want to work for it. Doesn't make sense but people still do it.
Today's work out was pretty intense. 8 miles with (about) 15 minutes of tempo. That was the first time that I stayed that long with the Varsity boys (myself? I don't know what to call them now that I am one of them... It's kind of cool haha!) during a tempo. It was always so easy just to fall behind during a tempo before, but now I know that there is no room for that with what I need to do to get the team where we need to be.
I had the hardest time finding a bathroom around our school during the run. Either the building was locked, I couldn't find the bathroom and no one was there, or they said it was illegal for them to let me use it (I think they store dead bodies in them!). I hated it! Not only did it hurt because I had to hold it in, but I also had to make a lot of stops to see if I could find one! It kind of frustrated me! |
| |
I know it should be 10.75 but Jared and I went straight to Mark's and rolled our legs and by the time we finished everyone was lifting.
I can really feel these work outs working! Haha! My legs have been hurting this whole week. I hope I can get used to these harder work outs soon because its having more of a negative affect on me in short terms. In long term I know this will make me better and I am waiting for that day to come! I am excited! |
| |
Today's morning run I took very easy. My legs are still feeling sore but I am taking better care of them.
Today we did Cruzers. The first couple weren't that bad but the last one, I don't know if it was the thought I was almost done, but it was a lot slower for me. Another thing I now feel should be my next thing to get over (I don't think hills are that bad on me anymore) are negative thoughts. When one of them actually gets me to slow down it is so much easier for the others to affect me as well. Sometimes I can get rid of them and I will continue running fine but, when they get me, they get me!
| |
Today's morning run I felt a lot better than yesterday's. I hope I continue getting better so I can run well on Saturday.
Today was a barefoot 2450 park run. It was nice to get something a little bit more chill and simple. Still extremly hot though. The weather is getting warm too.
Did anyone get my joke/truth?
| | Today was a nice simple 5 mile run with striders. My legs aren't feeling sore they are just feeling very tired. I really hope that they are feeling better tomorrow. That is the number one thing bothering me right now. |
| Race: |
SUU Invite (?) (3 Miles) 00:16:49, Place overall: 7 | | Oh my goodness! I felt so good on this race! 7th place Varsity! I'm so stoked! It boosted my confedence a lot! I was a little worried at the first because I had to go to the bathroom and I am still a little soar but I did a good job with my thoughts and kept the bad ones out. The cheering crowed helped a lot. They kept me pumped. Oh but I am just so excited for future races!
| | Again, I am so glad we didn't do a 8 mile run with tempos! Haha! Well my legs were really sore today. They weren't so bad when we started running and the ice bath seemed to do wonders! It felt cold... so, so cold! | |
| |
I wasn't able to go to morning practice today because we had to wake up the Homecoming Royalty.
Today's run was 1,000's. I felt fine throughout the whole work out but during the cool down I just started feeling sick! I didn't know what was going on! I got flashes of it during weights as well. It was so weird! I am also still feeling so sore! I got a stick thing so I will start using that a lot. I hope my legs start feeling better! |
| | Today we did a track work out. I felt like I did pretty well considering I stayed up with the faster varsity runners. I started feeling a lot more tired at the 200's but I kept a nice steady pace and pushed it harder on my last one. Overall I was pretty happy with the outcome. |
| | Today was an easy 4 mile run with 2 barefoot on grass. It was fun besides the fact my foot kept on getting stabbed! Curse those pokeys! But yeah... nothing too extradinarie. | |
| | Well around that. Man I feel so STUPID! I couldn't even do morning practice! And at the work out I kept on falling behind! I want to be up there, I really do, but I let the fact that I am tired, get a hold of me and put me down! AHHH! I am so mad! Too many things are keeping me away from where I need to be on the team! But the other thing is they are things I need to do! It's the running version of High School Musical! Yes, I have been breaking into song randomly through out the day and people join in, already knowing the words to the song. Well... you can always get higher... |
| | The Run-a-Thon was AWESOME! I had a great time! I don't think my team got first, but what evs. I am also glad I got to get some sleep in and get the same amount of running as I was supposed to during the Run-a-Thon! Everything worked out! Yay! I still want some sleep though... And I can! Horray for no Sing-a-Thon! |
| | Today we did 8 miles with 20 minute tempo. It is so much easier when it is cool! If you didn't believe there was a difference in running in different weather, you would believe after that run! I stayed up better with the faster group. I am glad we got together because it would have been hard to push myself alone. |
| | I didn't do so hot on this work out. My legs just couldn't move! It's not like they were sore, it is just they couldn't move fast! It seemed like all my energy wasn't there! I sure hope I start getting better soon. |
| | My legs still felt tired and weird. I am kind of worried now. Devin says it might be because either I am not eating enough or I am not getting enough sleep. Funny enough, I haven't been eating as much and I haven't got as much sleep as I usually do this whole week. Being a parent really changes my schedule! My parents come home today so my schedule should start being normal again. THANK GOODNESS! |
| | Today was a easy 5 mile run with 4 200's. Well it was supposed to be easy! But again my legs are so pooped! Well I decided my whole body is pooped. I really think the reason I am so tired lately is because I haven't been getting as much sleep and I haven't been eating as much because of the perfect combo of Homecoming Week and being a parent. I am really happy that my parents are back. I think I should be back to my normal self in like a week or something. My fingers are crossed for the race tomorrow. | |
| Race: |
Pre-Region (3 Miles) 00:00:00, Place overall: 5 | | Well, I was wrong to stress about the race today! I felt amazing! It was fantastic! I even beat Finch! With a stick! It was pretty exciting.
I don't know my time!
|
| | Today was the dreaded workout. Michigan's! They aren't as bad as I remember though. Sure they were tough but I think with the fact that I was actually running with people with a goal time (I ran it alone with the clock off last time) it made it easier and faster. |
| | Yup, that's it. I am totally sick and it is driving me bonkers! I tried to run this morning but I had to stop to hack out my lungs! At school is when it started getting worse. That is when it really hit me. I already had a sore throat and a little cough but then the back of my neck started hurting, my body felt like poo, and I got flashes of nausea. It is not a fun package. So I didn't run after school and got a orange smoothie with strawberries and a shot of vitamin C mixed in. When I got home I took a Day-Quil. I hope I start feeling better because I really do want to be out there with the team. | |
| | It's not a lot but it's something. I am pretty sad that I didn't go race but I feel like it was the better choice. |
| |
It's good to be back. Even though it kind of hurt me, I am just glad that I am running again. I felt really good at first but then the breathing in my throat started getting kind of scratchy and rough, then I just started getting as tired as I usually do when running at the rollercoaster hills, then after I started feeling last week hit me, then all on top of that, I got dehydrated. The last one was my bad. But seriously, it's just good to be back. I can't wait for the race this week. |
| | Like you might have heard I didn't go to morning practice today because I stayed up till midnight freaking out about 2 girls asking me to Sadie's. I will be showing up tomorrow. Today's work out was fun :) It was fun for my whole body minus my lungs! I felt like I kept up where I was supposed to be for most of the time but its just my lungs are still in the "uck" stage. I'm getting better. I can feel it. I am going to keep working hard and not let this keep me from running my best this weekend.
|
| | I really hate this whole "recovery" thing. I hate the feeling of this special treatment. Like I'm not good enough to be where I am. It frustrates me that I can't be running to the best of my abilities! I can't wait for the day when I am back to normal and I can hurt because the work out is hard, not because I can't breath. During the work out my breathing was pretty bad. It got better (not healthy better) when I got a drink, so that's good. And I felt completely fine during weights and jumps too, so that is also good. I really hope I am feeling better by, at least, Friday. Preferably two weeks ago but Friday is the what I am aiming for now.
|
| | Today was amazing! The only thing that brought me a little pain was the fact I had a stomach cramp because I had to take a dump. That's right! My breathing was completely fine! Sure, I'm still coughing a little bit but it didn't affect my running! It was fantastic! I am that much more excited for my race now! |
| | It was a nice 3 miles. The Varsity people did really good in there race.
|
| | I think it was 10. Well this work out was a lot better than I thought. I felt best with my last 5 minute tempo. I am pretty excited for state because I feel like I know how to race this course now. |
| | My legs are a little sore from the race. We NEED to do better with stretching! It would be so helpful if we did it as a team and actually meet and have someone conduct it like how we do during track. But besides that today's work out was nice. |
| | I think I added that up correctly. We did Michigan's. I thought I was doing well at the beginning and during that I was thinking "hey, I might do very well with this!" But then the most horrible thing happened; My right shoe came untied! It was during the second to last 1200 when it happened. I didn't think it was legal to stop to tie it so I kept running and the shoe kept on becoming more and more loose. Soon I had to adjust with every step. It was a mess. After I finally got permission and tied my shoe I felt a lot better and my pace got a little faster. Over all I was a little depressed with my over all time. Oh well, there is next time and I'm not going to let this ruin my running life :) Haha! That sounded totally lame and cheesey! | |
| | I was supa tired today. My legs were just feeling cruddy! I'm guessing it was because of the Michigan's yesterday.
|
| | My legs didn't hurt as bad today! Woo hoo! I am excited for tomorrow's race actually. I always kind of liked Cedar's course. It might have been the fact that I always got a medal. I better get one tomorrow! Hey, that can be my goal. Get a meddle. So top 10? Piece of cake. I think I just had a whole conversation with myself! |

Cedar Invite (3 Miles) 00:16:22 | | There was one thing that made me happy about this race. And if you didn't guess with my celebrating after my finish it's the fact I beat Jared. That was my goal for this whole season! It's time for a new goal and that is to do well during state. I haven't decided what well is yet but I will think of it soon. |
| | Well, I was planning on doing only 3 because my parents wanted me to hurry but, I got lost. So I ended up running 6 haha! It was a good run and the weather was awesome! |
| | I think that ended up being the total amount of miles (calculator work). WORST! WORK OUT! EVER! Why didn't Tyson warn me about it's horribleness! It was so bad it reminded me of the the darkest creature rising from the most evil swamp letting all of his wicked ways smite this corrupt and man-like world like a lightning bolt on a metal tray! But seriously, it wasn't that bad. It's just it was a lot more intense than what I thought. The hard part and what freaked me out the most was the cool down. My left knee was just so tense! It got so bad I couldn't move my legs in a running fashion! So I stopped and rubbed my knotty muscles (tehe) and slowly jogged it back. It felt better after that. So I am going to stretch extra and roll out my legs tonight in hopes I don't get injured.
|
| | Today was a simple 6 with striders. I am glad it was a little more laid back because my legs are supah sore! |
| | Today we did... oh my... I forgot the name... That's embarrasing... Well, it was a nice work out. Haha! I am just supah sore! |
| | I shortened my afternoon run because my ankle was hurting pretty bad. Mark said it is nothing he is too worried about yet. But he kept on telling me "I'm just going to pretend that doesn't bother me". So... I have to say that concerns me a bit, but I am not letting it get to my head because Region and State are the two things I have been looking forward too for like this whole season. Mark kept telling me "Just last two weeks" and that is exactly what I am going to do if the gods of injury and running don't let me last longer. |
| | Today we did 3, 1 mile cruzers. Even though I wasn't right behind Casey and Tyson, I feel like I was closer than I was ever before in this season. That made me pretty happy. One thing that is bothering me big time is my ankle! It really hurt after practice! I hope I don't get injured before Region or State. If I do I will be so MAD! I am hoping for a miracle right now.
|
| | My computer freaked out just barely and my whole blog for today got erased. So all it was in a nutshell is my ankle and hip hurt and it sucks a lot! Sometimes I need to limp :( Pttb (Fart noise) |
| Race: |
Region (3 Miles) 00:00:00, Place overall: 14 | | I don't know my time. If anyone can tell me it that would be supah sick. Well, it wasn't my best race. It sucked because all I could think about before the race is my dumb son-of-a-cuss ankle! It needs to heal real quick. But I am glad I did what was needed to get our team in first place with a creaming score. WAY TO GO PINE VIEW!
| | Well, that was the weirdest run I have ever been on.... Lots of fun though! My ankle did hurt during it but it wasn't bad enough to make me walk or anything like that.
|
| | I ran early with Devin and Jared. My ankle didn't hurt as bad which makes me excited. I hope it continues to get better so I can kick butt at state. It was a nice run. |
| | I only ran 3 because I am in Vegas and my mom didn't want me to run outside so I wouldn't get kidnapped by a homo, so I ran on a treadmill. I HATE treadmills! It was supah boring! Well I guess it is better than nothing. I will be back home Saturday but I still won't be able to run with the team but I will be running at home which means no treadmill. |
| | I think that is right. Well it was a easy run of 200's. It would have been easier if I had spikes but, you know, what evs. I know I shouldn't be doing this but I am nervous for state. It is mostly coming from my hurting ankle but I am taking care of it 'n biz. So... yup. |
| | It was a run in the park with striders. I had to go to the bathroom the whole time doing striders so it sucked! But it was a nice run overall. |
| Race: |
State (3 Miles) 00:17:20, Place overall: 43 | | ...3rd :(
| | Well, that was all I was able to fit into in today. I don't like the thought of me being injured. Tendinitis. Bleh! |
| | Another day with tendonitis... It really sucks... |
| | I ran with Colton today. It was nice not being alone during the run. What a nice kid. |
| | Tendonitis is still probably the worst thing that has happened this year. After I finished my run, I was so bored! Everyone still had a good 20 minutes before they came back. I just hope this helps me in the long run. Because in the short run, it sucks. |
| | Just another boring 3 miles with tendonitis. |
| | Well my ankle is feeling better! It's still sort of there but not bad. Now I have a really bad sore throat! It hurt when I ran! What the flip?! Why am I being cursed with such pains and sufferings?! It really sucks.... a lot.... I hate it.... a lot.... But it was good to run more than 3 this time. I can start doing normal work outs but Mark says don't do hills and make the speed work outs more simplified. I hope that isn't enough change in my work out to have me not go up with the team.
|
| | Today I ran 4 miles, which is better than 3. My ankle hurt more today but I don't think it is anything serious. |
| | Today was a simple 5 with striders. Running really hurts me dude. My sore throat and my hurting ankle is a sucky combo. I am just a mess! AHH! |
| | I ran an 800, 1000, and 1200. I could totally tell that I have not done those in a while. I was supah slow! And my throat still hurt a ton. I am just hoping that I am better before the race because I think it will be my throat that will be my biggest down fall in the race. |
| | Well running right after eating a lot of pizza probably wasn't the best idea in the first place, but it was done and it sucked was different. I wanted to throw up but I stayed up pretty well. Well besides those crazy kids and their little dog too (Finch).

Pre-Footlocker (3 Miles) 01:11:11, Place overall: 100 | | I don't know my time or place... so... there it is. But I was feeling so horrible during the warm-up. I don't think that breakfast agreed with me at all. I wasn't the 5th runner like I was supposed to be, if I never got injured, but I was pretty proud with what I did. First lap I was thinking, "What the cuss, am I doing?! I don't have the training for this race!" But the second lap I pushed that out and started doing so much better! Then the third lap was just magical! I was passing people all over the place! Then when I got on the track, it was just crazy! I got STAR POWER! I passed like, 4 kids in 100-200 meters! One kid was like 50 meters ahead of me. Not only did I catch him, I passed him and left him in the dust! I felt so great! |
| | I hate to say it but that run hurt. My ankle and hip were hurting again and my new toe injury brought paint too! It is down right horrible! |
| | Man, I felt rebellious today! One whole mile!
